Challenge

In what was truly a collaborative project, we helped our clients choose a unified team of expert architects and builders to revive and transform this exquisite period home.

The key challenge within this project was expertly fusing the ultra-modern exterior with the heritage aspects within the interior and the front façade of the home.

Solution

Working collaboratively with a superbly qualified team was integral to the success of this project. We engaged a team with specialist knowledge in heritage homes, including heritage architect, Bayleyward, and consultant Robert Trethowan.

The team offered guidance and support where necessary throughout the project to ensure that period elements of the home were restored with skill and fastidious care. Due to the success of this collaboration, we were able to revive the period elements of the home with precision and craftsmanship.

This carefully-considered and collaborative approach guaranteed that the project adhered to a streamlined process from beginning to end.

This home employs a subtle nod to the past but also takes a definitive leap into the future. The result is positively unique; a striking and innovative renovation that expertly fuses classic and modern design aesthetics.

“Having purchased a lovely old but rundown Victorian house in a good location, I needed a builder to guide me through the process of updating the house. Fortem Projects have been fabulous on all fronts.”
