Sitting on a substantial block in the leafy eastern suburbs, this Victorian weatherboard home needed renewal and extension. The owners sought to restore its heritage while creating a modern family abode to maximise future value. In collaboration with Bryant Alsop, the completed home features a modern kitchen, family living areas, bedrooms, a guest room, and a main bedroom suite with city views. An outdoor entertaining zone with a BBQ, deck, and pool was central to the brief.

Sustainable design principles were employed to optimise natural light and energy efficiency. The new extension seamlessly integrates with the original house while respecting its period character, ensuring a harmonious fusion of old and new.
