Building Confidence: How We Ensure Stability During Your Build

When embarking on a construction project, whether it’s a new build or a renovation, one of the most common concerns clients have is whether the project will be completed on time.

Delays can cause stress, disrupt plans, and escalate costs, which is why we’ve put in place processes to ensure stability and reliability throughout your entire project.

1. Thorough Planning: The Foundation of Success

At the heart of every successful build is detailed and thorough planning. Before we even break ground, we work closely with our clients to understand their vision, requirements, and timeline expectations. This initial phase is critical as it allows us to map out the entire project.

We start by conducting a comprehensive assessment of the site, considering all variables that could impact the timeline, such as environmental factors, permit acquisition, and material availability. By anticipating potential challenges early on, we can develop a robust plan that includes buffer periods for unforeseen circumstances. This proactive approach minimises the risk of delays and ensures that every phase of the project is aligned with your expectations.

2. Open and Frequent Communication: Keeping You in the Loop

Communication is key to managing any construction project, and at Fortem Projects, we pride ourselves on maintaining open and frequent lines of communication with our clients and team. From the moment you engage with us, you’ll have a dedicated point of contact who will provide regular updates on the progress of your build. We use ProCore Construction Management Software that drives intelligent risk management across all projects. Allows stakeholders access and transparency across the entire duration of the project from pre-construction through to completion on site updates, pricing, timeline, invoicing and defects to name a few. We take on a limited number of builds at any one time, enabling our directors Chris and Stuart to oversee each project.

We believe that transparency fosters trust, which is why we keep you informed at every stage of the project. Whether it’s a quick check-in of onsite photos, a dedicated call or a detailed progress report, our team is committed to ensuring you’re always in the know. If any issues arise, or there are changes you would like to make to the project that could impact the timeline, we address them immediately and discuss the best course of action with you. This collaborative approach not only helps to mitigate delays but also empowers you to make informed decisions throughout the build.

3. Project Management Software: Precision and Accountability

To further enhance the stability of your project timeline, we utilise state-of-the-art project management software, ProCore. This technology allows us to track every aspect of the build in real time, from scheduling and resource allocation to task completion and budget management.

Our project management software provides a centralised platform where all team members can access up-to-date information, ensuring that everyone is on the same page. It also allows us to quickly identify and address any potential bottlenecks, ensuring that the project stays on track.

Additionally, this enables us to provide our clients with detailed reports, offering full visibility into the progress of their build.

At Fortem Projects, our goal is to deliver not just a completed build, but a seamless experience that leaves you with peace of mind. By focusing on thorough planning, maintaining open communication, and leveraging project management tools, we ensure that your project is completed on time and to the highest standards.

“The project was delivered ahead of schedule, and a high level of finish was achieved throughout the project. Equal levels of care were attributed to the restoration works as was the contemporary addition. Fortem Projects coordinated all aspects of the project from landscaping and pool to window furnishings. This ensured a smooth and coordinated project where design details were thoughtfully considered. “ Sarah Bryant,  Bryant Alsop Architects.
